1st Fabtec India with a Perfect Debut

Fabtec

Go global – for the first time ever, the Schall group promoted Fabtec India, international trade fair for sheet metal processing, joining technology, painting and coating, in cooperation with its partner Codissa in the Indian city of Coimbatore – with great success. 10,000 expert visitors gathered information at the premiere event from the 21st through the 25th of January, 2009. The exhibitors were extremely satisfied with the way things went at the trade fair, and were able to generate orders for a total of €5.5 million directly on-site.
Located in one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing industrial regions throughout India and Southeast Asia, the offerings presented by Fabtec India precisely matched the needs of the target groups. The trade fair launch succeeded right off the bat, and a great majority of the exhibitors enjoyed concrete RFQs and spontaneous orders amounting to millions of Euros. Numerous exhibits didn’t even have to be sent back home, and were shipped direct to customers in India. Trade fair promoters P.E. Schall GmbH & Co.KG and their Indian collaborator thus feel that their assessment of the booming Indian market has been confirmed as correct, and that they’ve taken the right steps at the right time. The goal of the trade fair concept is to present the only process-sequence trade fair in India and Southeast Asia for all aspects of sheet metal processing – from raw sheet right on up to fully assembled, painted or coated sheet metal assemblies. Fabtec is backed by concentrated know-how which has evolved from Schall’s highly successful Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair held in Stuttgart, Germany, and has been expanded to include the areas of painting and coating as well. More than 70 companies, primarily from Germany and India, presented their products and services at the 1st Fabtec India. Without exception, they all expressed tremendous satisfaction and reported exclusively highly interesting discussions and RFQs.

And thus it’s hardly surprising that all of the exhibitors made firm commitments to participate at the 2nd Fabtec from 21 through 25 January 2011, once again in Coimbatore, even before the final day of the event. Due to the fact that key players are setting up operations in the region because of the growing significance of the economic centre in and around Coimbatore, who in turn attract supplier and subcontractors, there’s every indication that lasting market potential exists. And this is all the more important when, as is now the case, things aren’t going so well for globalised production and the world economy in other market regions.
